19TH CENTURY WATERCOLOR PORTRAIT OF SEATED WOMAN
A superbly detailed 19th century watercolor of a woman in vintage clothing seated on a chair holding a book. Fine detailing to her face, including her eye, lashes, and brow. An exquisite fishnet bonnet trimmed in lace; dress also trimmed in white lace at the collar and cuffs. She is wearing a necklace, cameo, and a ring on her left hand. You can even see a foot with a black shoe and white stocking.
The watercolor measures 8 3/4 x 11 3/8 inches. Unsigned and in a bird's-eye maple frame measuring 11 1/4 x 13 3/4 inches. Light water stain to upper right quarter of the paper.
