REDWARE HALF GALLON JUG
Early 19th century, lead and manganese glazed redware half gallon jug. An ovoid shape having a slightly flared round foot with rounded sides, flared rounded sides with a broad rounded shoulder that tapers to a slightly flared rounded collar, arched strap handle. Overall glaze resulting in a dark brown almost black ground. Slight chip on top rim of collar and rim of handle.
Measures 7 inches in diameter and 8 5/8 inches high.
