19TH CENTURY REDWARE STORAGE JAR WITH LID
A fine 19th century, Pennsylvania lead glazed redware storage jar with lid. Overall glaze results in a reddish brown ground with some black manganese speckles throughout. Round simple molded base with slightly rounded and tapered sides and a thumb molded rounded collar. Retains the original lid, mostly unglazed. Measures 7 1/2 inches high to top of knob and 5 1/4 inches across the base. In good condition with some minor glaze flaking.
