AMERICAN TIN CANDLE BOX
Mid-19th century and made of tin, this candle box has a superior scallop shell backplate design, original to the making of the box. The ends are decorated with a punched-tin design. Very good condition with old red paint--not the original paint. Made with substantial tin, so the box is rather heavy.
Measures 12 inches long, 9 1/2 inches high, and 4 1/2 inches deep.
