19TH CENTURY SPLINT BASKET
An American splintwork basket in a diminutive size. Circa 1860. Simple flat splint plaiting (over-one-under-one); wood handle, cross-bound rim, a slight pushed-up bottom. In great condition. Nice patina. The slightly oval shaped basket measures 5 3/4 x 6 1/2 inches and 6 1/2 inches high (to top of handle).
