VICTORIAN HAIR WORK MOURNING BRACELET
A beautiful Victorian woven hair work mourning bracelet with gilt fittings and a daguerreotype photo under beveled glass. The hair work is absolutely exquisite and fine. Circa 1850. In very good condition. Daguerreotype is barely visible. Measures 7 1/2 inches in length.
Engraved on the back "Mrs. S. H. Follmer." It comes with the label from the original box of the jewelry maker. M. B. Allebach & Co. (c. 1845-1865) successors to M. Avise, Watches, Jewelry, and Fancy Goods, No. 122 North Second St., Above Arch, Philadelphia, PA. On the back of this label is written "J. M. Follmer, Milton, PA, 1850. Wife's Hair."
