STAFFORDSHIRE POODLES PAIR
A pair of seated Staffordshire poodles with two separate front legs, painted eyes and muzzles, gray painted paws, and gilded collars and lockets. The decoration on these dogs gives the impression of fur. It was achieved by passing clay through a sieve and applying prior to firing. They were made for a period both before and after 1875 and can be found in at least three sizes and four variations. Measure 4 inches high.
In excellent condition. There is a crack to one front left leg (right side poodle) that appears to be in the making as it is glazed over.
PRICE: $475
