ROYAL BAYREUTH ROSE TAPESTRY HATPIN HOLDER
The Royal Bayreuth porcelain factory was founded in 1794 in Tettau, Bavaria. The Royal Bayreuth tapestry line, encompassing rose tapestry in several color variations such as one, two, and three color roses, was extremely popular during the Victorian era. This hatpin holder has two colors of roses (pink and yellow) and has the green mark. The marks have changed through the years. A stylized crest, the name Royal Bayreuth, and the word Bavaria appear in slightly different forms from 1870 to about 1919. Measures 2 inches in diameter and 4 5/8 inches high. In good condition.
