Surface is not perfect. There are some old cut marks.

An old tag on the back is marked "Property of Hannah Citman who married John Ravell September 5, 1802, Palmer, Mass."
The Dictionary of Blue and White Printed Pottery notes that Batalha is a small town notable for a large Dominican monastery that contains the tomb of Prince Henry the Navigator. The pattern shows the monastery in the background with figures, including a man in a hussar uniform in the foreground. A floral border surrounds the central pattern.
