VINTAGE D.F.B. CO. COMPACT
A signed D. F. B. Co. (D.F. Briggs Company from Attleboro, Massachusetts, 1892-1950) compact--sometimes referred to as a dance compact--with a pretty wrist strap. Front is enameled with a hand-painted ship. The sides have rich repousse etching and back is finely engine turned and monogrammed. Inside has sifter and powder well for rouge. Beveled mirror is a new replacement. Marked "Pat. Feb. 9, 1926." Back has monogram. Measures 2 x 3 inches.
